William Kentridge

This is one of my favorite artists, perhaps my favorite. When I first discovered him several years ago I had many moments of wanting to give up because his work is so good that I felt that I couldn't possibly make anything as great. He draws often using the same sheet of paper to create his animation. He draws, takes a photo, erases, makes a small change, takes a photo, and so on. The result is beautiful and eerie.
