Burt Bacharach
Back on the record listening project. Tonight I'm still in the B section. It's good background music as I make buttons!

In Honor of MLK Day
This record is out of order from the project that I started late year with the goal of listening to our entire record collection. It's my favorite album that I own and the first song is heartbreakingly good called Why? The King of Live is Dead. Get it, listen to it.
Home
I love this song by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and this cover makes me love it even more!

So Much Happening!!!!!
Tonight I stopped by Shake It Records to drop off a poster for the next Crafty Supermarket coming up on November 20th and the grand reopening and one year anniversary of Fabricate coming up this Saturday, November 13th. I decided to pick up a new CD which I can't remember the last time that I bought a CD. I grabbed OK GO because of this video that I was forever ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head.
While many of their songs sound like they should give Prince some credit in the liner notes, it's over all good and has a lot of awesome bonus features.

Gillian Welch
She randomly took the stage at this bar we were drinking. Shocked and thinking about driving through Georgia wondering what I could listen to that my mom wouldn't hate so I Gillian on and mom sang along and it's one of my favorite memories ever despite the fact that we were driving to my grandmothers funeral. Also, I want a denim jump suit.

The Association
These two records were good background music for cleaning but I'm not sure they will be on my regular rotation.

New Blog Challenge!!!
To mark my three year bloggerversary I came up with a new challenge.
I'm going to listen to my record collection from start to finish and
write about! Some of the records are mine and some are Ben's. There
are a lot that I've never listened to and a ton I haven't heard in a
while. I have no time limit but I'm going to try to stick to one a
day. I started last night and discovered we have not one, not two,
but three 4 Seasons records. I listened to all of them and they
reminded me of growing up in South Carolina listening to oldies
stations all of the time with my best friend Sarah. Excited to see
what's next!

Two Seconds of Fame
Check out the new Bad Veins video. I make an appearance around the one minute mark. This is my sad attempt at blogging more. We'll see how that goes.

The Middle East
The Middle East are playing with Bad Veins for the first part of the Frightened Rabbit tour. I love sound checks. They are like little private shows.

Taking A Break

Taking a break from my projects to post about this band that I've been listening to all week. Ben played with them a week or so ago in Cleveland and grabbed their 4 song ep for me and I can't stop listening to it over and over again. You can hear the songs here. I'm particularly addicted to the first two. Wishing the weekend could be a little longer. I could uses more scooter rides, time to finish projects, and time to listen to music that is way too loud.
